THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE IN SAN FRANCISCO HAS ISSUED AN EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH...WHICH IS IN EFFECT FROM TUESDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH TUESDAY EVENING. * TEMPERATURE: UPPER 90S TO 107. * IMPACTS: HEAT EXHAUSTION OR POSSIBLE HEAT STROKE. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
PEOPLE LIVING IN PLACES WITH LITTLE VENTILATION AND THOSE IN POOR HEALTH SHOULD TAKE PROPER PRECAUTIONS. PROLONGED EXPOSURE TO EXTREME HEAT CAN LEAD TO HEAT EXHAUSTION OR POSSIBLE HEAT STROKE.
PEOPLE PLANNING TO BE OUTDOORS FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS SHOULD WEAR LIGHTWEIGHT AND LIGHT COLORED CLOTHING AND KEEP PLENTY OF WATER ON HAND. CHECK ON THE ELDERLY FREQUENTLY.
