On November 6, 2012, at approximately 0853 hours, the Benicia Police Department Dispatch Center received a call from a citizen advising that a burglary had possibly occurred at the Discount Cigarette store located within the Southampton Shopping Center in the 800 block of Southampton Road. Benicia Police arrived and confirmed that a burglary had occurred earlier in the morning hours. Through investigation, it was learned that two neighboring businesses were entered (Little Thai Restaurant and Supercuts) prior to the suspects gaining access to Discount Cigarettes.
