The National Weather Service in Wilmington has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
Ohio County in southeastern Indiana...
Ripley County in southeastern Indiana...
Dearborn County in southeastern Indiana...

* Until 945 AM EST.

* At 619 AM EST, public reported water in the basements of some
homes along with multiple road closures. Up to five inches of rain
has already fallen. Radar indicated that heavy rain continues to
fall with another one to two inches possible. Runoff from this
excessive rainfall will cause flash flooding to occur.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Batesville, Lawrenceburg, Greendale, Aurora, Rising Sun, Bright,
Hidden Valley, Versailles, Milan, Osgood, Dillsboro, Moores Hill,
Guilford, Wilmington, Logan, Manchester, French, Sunman, Hartford
and St. Leon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

To report flash flooding, go to our website at weather.gov/iln and
submit your report via social media, when you can do so safely.
