Disturbance call ends with gun arrest

On May 19, 2017, at 12:14 pm, the Fairfield Police Dispatch Center received a report of a fight near the intersection of Clay Street and Utah Street involving 20 to 30 people. One of them reportedly had a gun. Officers responded to the scene and as they were arriving the group dispersed in the direction of Bell Avenue. A total of sixteen males and females were detained, on Bell Ave, either in the street or hiding under cars in nearby private driveways. Officers searched one of them and located a loaded .45 caliber pistol concealed in the waistband of his pants.

David Washington, a 22-year-old Fairfield resident, was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail on the following charges:
  • Carrying a concealed firearm in public
  • Carrying a loaded firearm in public
  • Possession of a deadly weapon with the intent to assault another
  • Possession of a firearm by someone other than the registered owner
Alexia Espiritu, a 20-year-old Fairfield resident was arrested and booked into Solano County Jail on an outstanding warrant.
