Fireworks Safety: Enjoy Fireworks Responsibly - Leave it to the Pros!!!

Summertime is coming, and Independence Day is coming with it!

Don't endanger yourself or those around you by using illegal fireworks. The City of Fairfield encourages the community to leave it to the pros and celebrate smart this Fourth of July. To ensure everyone’s safety and an enjoyable celebration for all, the City asks that you enjoy fireworks responsibly by attending a public display with friends and family.

Professional public firework displays in our area will be at the following locations on July 4th:
-Suisun City Waterfront
-Vacaville Creekwalk
-Benicia Picnic in the Park
-Rio Vista
-Dixon May Fair

The City thanks you for your cooperation in its zero-tolerance fireworks campaign. The recreational use/civilian use of fireworks often results in personal injury, emergency room visits, and extensive property damage. Let’s leave it to the professionals, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!

There will be increased Police Department and Fire Department staffing in the days surrounding July 4th, with a dedicated team of proactive officers responding to related calls concerning, but not limited to fireworks, parties, and disturbances. Citations can be issued to any citizen found making, buying, selling, or using fireworks.

To report the use of illegal fireworks or other neighborhood disturbances, please contact the Fairfield Police Department at (707) 428-7300, or call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency or active crime.

We wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth of July!
