Excessive Heat Warning until 08:00PM Monday

...Widespread Triple Digit Heat Sunday and Monday... .Building high pressure over the western US will cause a heating trend over the weekend into early next week. Peak heat will occur Sunday into Monday and cause moderate to high risk for heat related illnesses. ...EXCESSIVE HEAT WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SUNDAY TO 8 PM PDT MONDAY... The National Weather Service in Sacramento has issued an Excessive Heat Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM Sunday to 8 PM PDT Monday. The Heat Advisory is no longer in effect.

* TEMPERATURE...Daytime highs will range 100 to 106 degrees for much of the region with overnight lows in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

* IMPACTS...Moderate to high risk of heat related illness, especially for sensitive groups: elderly, children, sick people, animals. &&

Instructions:

An Excessive Heat Warning means that a prolonged period of dangerously hot temperatures will occur. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity will combine to create a DANGEROUS SITUATION in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances. Take extra precautions, if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke.
