Suspicious Vehicle Call Leads to Gun Arrests

Fairfield Police arrested two men on weapons charges following a report of  suspicious activity Saturday night.  An alert resident in the 1400 Block of Monroe Street called police around 11:30PM to report what they believed to be suspicious activity on the street.  It was reported several persons were hanging out around a vehicle, playing loud music, and appeared to be dealing drugs.  

Officers arrived and located the persons described to be involved.  While they were investigating, the officers saw one of the men throw a gun underneath the car.  The men in the car were detained and further investigation revealed a second loaded handgun inside of the car.

Officers arrested Joseph Barragan, 24, of Fairfield, and Andre Lewis, 22, of Fairfield for possession of a loaded, concealed firearm in a vehicle and carrying a loaded, concealed, unregistered firearm.
