Fairfield Police Department Hosts Second Annual Open House

The Fairfield Police Department hosted their second annual open house on Saturday, September 23.  Throughout the day hundreds of people were able to come meet many of the men and women of the Fairfield Police Department and get an inside look at Police Department Operations.  Throughout the event visitors were treated to tours of the Police Administration Building, SWAT and K9 demonstrations, had the opportunity to speak to recruiters, sit on a police motorcycle, and were treated to lunch, courtesy of the Fairfield Police Officers’ Association.

We also had representatives from the City of Fairfield Human Resources Department and Public Works Department at the event.

This was a great event that allowed officers to get together with the community and have some casual conversation.  It provides an opportunity for people to ask the police why we do what we do, and how we do it.  In return, we get to learn more about the people we serve and what their concerns are in our communities.

We would like to thank everyone who came out today and look forward to seeing everyone at our next community event, Coffee With A Cop, On Wednesday, October 4, from 8am to 10am an Panera Bread on Gateway Boulevard!
