(The survey is available in both English and Spanish. The survey will end on October 29, 2017, at 5:00 pm.)

Background:
In 1972, the City of Fairfield acquired a 6-mile unused segment of the Sacramento Northern Railroad for the primary purpose of establishing a bike/pedestrian path and recognized a need to find transportation alternatives.  Since then, the vision of the Linear Park Trail has faced several obstacles including growing park maintenance costs, and the changing housing and development markets around the trail.

The City is seeking input from the community-at-large to identify community aligned improvements that will reactivate community spaces, improve pedestrian and bike connections, and reduce blight and crime along the trail.  These improvements will be supplemented by a proposed sound wall along the corridor to enhance safety in residential areas.  The area being studied runs from Pennsylvania Avenue to Dover Avenue.
