Tip to School Resource Officer Leads to Gun Arrest on Campus

Fairfield Police School Resource Officers arrested a 16 year old male Wednesday for possession of a firearm on the Sem Yeto Satellite Campus at Armijo High School.  The incident began when the Fairfield police School Resource Officer assigned to Armijo High received detailed information that a student was in possession of a handgun while on campus.  Officers from the Youth Services Bureau immediately responded and worked in collaboration with the school’s administration to obtain information about the student.  Officers were able to quickly locate and safely detain the student on campus.  The student was found to be in possession of a loaded handgun and marijuana.  The gun had been reported stolen from a prior burglary in the City of Fairfield.  He was arrested and booked into Solano County Juvenile Hall for possessing a loaded, stolen, concealed handgun and possession of marijuana on a school campus.
