Winter Storm Warning until 06:00AM Tuesday

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TODAY TO 6 AM MST TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Heavy snow and blowing snow expected. Plan on difficult travel conditions. Above 10000 feet, total snow accumulations of 10 to 18 inches, with localized amounts up to 22 inches, are expected. Below 10000 feet, total snow accumulations of 4 to 8 inches, with localized amounts up to 12 inches, are expected.

* WHERE...Southwest San Juan Mountains.

* WHEN...From 3 AM today to 6 AM MST Tuesday.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Snowfall will be heavy at times today through this evening. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph will cause widespread blowing and drifting snow significantly reducing visibility over Highway 550 passes. In addition, roads will become slushy Monday afternoon. Road surfaces should become icy and snow-packed Monday night.

* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHWEST SAN JUAN MOUNTAINS
