RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY EVENING TO EARLY
SUNDAY MORNING FOR GUSTY OFFSHORE WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY FOR
THE NORTH BAY MOUNTAINS...
 
The National Weather Service in San Francisco has issued a Red
Flag Warning, which is in effect from late Friday evening to early Sunday
 
 
* AFFECTED AREA...North Bay Mountains above 1000 feet.
 
* WIND...Northeast winds 15 to 30 mph with gusts 40 to 50 mph
 
* HUMIDITY...lowering to 8-18% during the day Saturday with
  little or no humidity recovery at night.
 
* HIGHEST THREAT...Napa county hills along the Sonoma Yolo and Lake
  county line. Areas around Mt Saint Helena and Angwin
 
* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
 
 

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now...or will shortly. A combination of strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
